The french animated science fiction film directed by René Laloux in 1973, La Planète Sauvage or Fantastic Planet, is a bizarre spectacle of strange landscapes, wierd creatures and wondeful adventure. The often primitive and barbaric world, full of dangerous monsters and cruel habits, makes me think of Carcosa by Geoffrey McKinney.

La Planète Sauvage is a very weird film that is like nothing seen on cinema or tv today and is well worth watching if you are the least interested in strange and wonderful other worlds. The psychedelic soundtrack enhances the experience and is quite useful for roleplaying games.
