Into the Odd is an osr-game with a strong identity of its own, the rules make several interesting innovations and deviations from the standard formula of b/x, and the setting is closer to the new weird of Merwyn Peake and China Mieville than classic sword and sorcery.
I roll 3d6 for the three stats, and 1d6 for hp. By comparing the hp with the highest stat on a chart I find my character’s equipment and abilities. As in most osr games, a starting pc in into the Odd is quite bare-bones, Brin Kross will develop during the campaign, but in the end, this kind of game is more about exploring dungeons than exploring characters.
